Kosim International is set to expand into the global travel market with its integrated travel platform, Kosim. By combining technology, local experiences, and community-driven features, the company aims to introduce a new model of travel services aligned with evolving travel trends.
Kosim International (CEO Juhyun Song) announced that it will participate in Travel Show 2026, held from May 14 to 17 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, where it will officially showcase its flagship platform, Kosim. The Travel Show is recognized as a leading travel exhibition featuring domestic and international tourism and lifestyle companies, offering both B2B networking opportunities and hands-on experiences for general visitors.
At the exhibition, Kosim International will present an integrated solution focused on solving connectivity and communication challenges faced by travelers abroad. At its core is an eSIM-based global roaming technology, enabling users to connect to LTE and 5G networks worldwide without the need for physical SIM replacement. This enhances convenience while significantly reducing roaming costs, positioning it as a competitive solution in the era of digital transformation.
The platform is further enhanced by an AI-powered call assistance service, SmoothCall. This feature supports real-time communication in various situations such as restaurant reservations, accommodation inquiries, and emergency assistance. Going beyond simple translation, SmoothCall understands conversational context and responds accordingly, effectively reducing language barriers and communication stress for travelers.
Another key component is the community service ‘Tteona,’ which facilitates information sharing and travel companion matching among users. Unlike traditional travel platforms that focus solely on information delivery, Kosim promotes user interaction and co-creation of travel experiences, offering a differentiated value proposition.
During the exhibition, Kosim’s three core services—eSIM roaming, SmoothCall, and the Tteona community—will be demonstrated in an integrated format. The experience will highlight how technology seamlessly connects with local tourism content and culinary experiences, emphasizing real-world usability beyond technical features.
This participation is also supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT’s “Regional Science and Technology Commercialization Support Program,” in collaboration with Kyungpook National University. The exhibition serves as an opportunity to validate both the commercial viability of the technology and its applicability in the tourism industry, while showcasing a case of regional innovation expanding into global services.
CEO Juhyun Song stated, “Kosim is not just a travel convenience service, but a platform that enables seamless connection and communication anywhere in the world. Through Travel Show 2026, we aim to share this vision with industry stakeholders and consumers, and present new possibilities for travel experiences.”
As the travel industry continues to evolve rapidly with digital transformation and personalization trends, attention is focused on how Kosim International’s approach will be received in the market.
